The Fall River Road connects Grand Lake with Estes Park, crossing the range, amidst perpetual snow banks, at an altitude of 1,797 feet. It is part of Colorado's most attractive motor trip, a grand circuit of mountain scenery, that leads from Denver to Estes Park over the Continental Divide to Grand Lake, over the Divide again at Berthoud Pass and returns to Denver thru the Denver Mountain parks.
