Tuesday
We went down to our property today. The canyon is in ruins. Our lot was in good shape. All the old tree stumps had been washed away. The weather has been nice here. Plan to be home Sunday.

This postcard was written after the Big Thompson Flood in 1976. The scene above was greatly changed itself after the Lawn Lake Flood of July 15, 1982 swept through the heart of Estes Park and the reconstruction that followed after it.
