ABOUT FIVE MILES BELOW ESTES PARK in the upper reaches of the Big Thompson Canon the peculiar rock formation known as Eagle Rock projects from the high, rocky, canon wall. It is so called because of its resemblance of the out-thrust rock to the head and beak of an eagle.
